C-Section Numbness

"I just had a c section about 6 weeks ago, and I am feeling a lot of numbness. I am wondering if anyone else who had one experienced this, how long did it last?"

Totally normal. The feeling may come back gradually over the next few months, or it may never come back at all depending on what kind of damage was done to the nerves under your incision.

My incision area is still kinda numb, and it's been 7 months. For about the first 4 months or so it was really numb, barely hurt if I pinched. Like said, feeling may never totally come back.

I had a c-section August 2005 and I still have numbness. I guess it's normal for some women not regain full feeling. Depends on what nerves gets cut.

I could have a repeat section, but we're going for VBAC this time.

My stomach is numb from my incision up to my belly button..I have almost no feeling in it. its wierd. Its been over four years since the first c section and I just had another baby by CS in November. I hate it.

I had my first section in '01 and my second in '05 and I still have numbness around the incision... I think in my case it's permanent!

I had my C-Sect in '04, I still have some numbness around the incision, it's strange but not as bad and not really a numb/pain like it used to be. I am expecting for September and really hope our chances for a VBAC work.

I had a C-Section in July 2007 and I have regained all sensation. There is no numbness. So there are some women who get it back. It was numb for about 4 months.
