Does your man seem to be just as hungry, irritable, tired, or nauseous as you when you are pregnant? New research from the UK suggests that for reasons unknown, expectant fathers can experience pregnancy symptoms too.

Known as 'Couvade Syndrome', (from the French word 'couver' meaning 'to hatch') it is defined by men who reported a range of symptoms, including cramps, back pain, mood swings, food cravings, morning sickness, fatigue, depression, fainting, insomnia and toothache, right along with their growing ladies. In some more extreme cases, men even developed a swollen stomach, strongly resembling a baby bump. No physical causes were found for these men.
Most of the men noticed their symptoms in the first trimester, however some of these fellows reported issues right up to delivery day and beyond.
Dr. Arthur Brennan who led the study claims "These men were so attuned to their partners, they started to develop the same symptoms." It is also said that it may be a result of sympathy, and/or stress.
