One Month
At this stage your baby is an and is formed by two layers of cells from which all organs and body parts will develop.
Two Months
Your baby is now about the size of a kidney bean, is constantly moving, and has distinct, but slightly webbed fingers.
Three Months
At this point your baby is about 3 inches long, weighs nearly an ounce, and has tiny, unique fingerprints.
Four Months
Your baby is now about 5 inches long, and weighing in at about 5 ounces. The rubbery cartilage of you little one's skeleton is hardening to form real bones.
Five Months
Eyebrows and eyelids are visible now and your baby may be slightly more than 10 inches long when stretched out.
Six Months
At six months your baby weighs about a pound and a half. The wrinkled skin is starting to smooth out as fat cells form underneath the skin.
Seven Months
At 3 pounds and more than 15 inches long, the baby can open and close her eyes and even follow a light.
Eight Months
At this stage your baby's lungs are well developed and he or she is filling out. Your baby might be weighing in at around 5 pounds.
Nine Months
Babies born at this stage are not considered premature. The average baby weighs 7 pounds at birth, and is about 19 inches tall.
