Weight loss during pregnancy

Has anybody experienced significant weight loss during pregnancy? I am overweight, 17 weeks pregnant and have lost 25 lbs so far. I am feeling very sick all of the time. I am taking diclecting and gravol with ginger. Nothing seems to be working. the only thing I can count on keeping down all of the time is a glass of milk. Other than that, and the occasional toast and p.b. nothing is very tolerable. Any suggestions.
The nutritionist is hoping to see a weight gain of at least a few lbs this time, and I only have two weeks left to make it happen.
help please!

Since you are overweight, you have a little bit of leverage when it comes to weight loss. A lot of women lose weight during pregnancy due to morning sickness and also because we tend to eat a lot better while we're pregnant. If you are only keeping a select bit of food down, you need to make sure that it's nutrition packed. Instead of that glass of milk you are guarenteed to keep down, try an Ensure or something like that...something that is full of nutrition. Make sure you are taking your prenatal vitamins regularly as well. Chances are your baby is getting what he or she needs even though you aren't putting on weight. Try to hang in there and keep trying to get food into you! Small frequent meals and lots of water can help.
