Just wondering when you all took your children to the dentist for the first time. My mother in law recently told me that a child should first go to the dentist 6 months after the first tooth has came in. I looked it up on the internet and that is in fact true. The Canadian Dentistry Association recomends taking them by their first birthday, or 6 months after the first tooth. I really dont think my daughter, who is 19 months old would tolerate keeping her mouth open while someone looks in it. Its not like I think she has something wrong with any of her teeth, they are very white and I brush them every morning and evening. I do plan on taking her by her second birthday.
