Crib Recall

Ever since this big crib recall I am feeling really uncomfortable with the crib we have. Should we use the replacement parts they send out or get a new crib all together? Is anyone else going through this??

Try the replacement parts and see how sturdy the issue is after that. Go with your instinct.

My youngest isn't using the crib right now, but we were saving it for the next baby and had fully intended on using it. Now, however, I'm not so sure. Not because it was recalled but because the replacement part, in my opinion, makes the crib inconvenient to use. The part prohibits the side from dropping down which I think is a royal nuissance. We'll probably get the part and then sell the crib and get a new one when it's time for the next baby.

Apparently it is being considered to ban drop side cribs all together in Canada.

We had a storkcraft and this is the second recall on this particular crib. It's being thrown out next week.
