Ok Ladies, I need to ask a question, what Fredericton baby business do you love? I am looking for small businesses, that maybe not many ppl have heard about. Not Toys R Us for example :)

OMG is anyone else's kid petrified of vacuums, blenders, and hairdryers? My husband says that he will just have to get used to it, but I don't think that will help... anyone else's child go through this and get over it?

In reply to your first post, I really enjoy going in Bump even though I am not pregnant. The maternity clothing in there is awesome, and there are also things in there for new moms, like nursing pjs, nursing bras, baby blankies, tons of gorgeous nice stuff!

For the 2nd question... I actually used the hair-dryer when Zakk was a new born to stop his colick. The doctor told me that for some reason white noise stops their crying when they are colicky. It worked! But when he was about a year old, he was terrified of the noises like the hair dryer, blender, vaccuum. Now he doesn't mind.. they do grow out of it, maybe just show your child it is harmless and let them explore it.. well not the blender of course, but for example, I started letting Zakk help me with housework and he likes to vaccuum or use the small "dust-buster". He's not scared at all of any loud noises! He just gets irritated when I vaccuum or use the blow-dryer or blender when he is watching the TV. He comes and tells me, "Mommy that's too loud, shhh"

I love a room to remember and the delta gift shop. As well, there are booths at the market that I love....also the Urban almanac has some pretty cute things.

By the way my son is also scared of loud noises like vacum cleaner and all that. But if I let him watch and explain to him what is going on he usually calms down.

my son was always petrified of the vacuum! he would always clean up his toys as soon as he was done playing because he thought the vacuum would "suck them up" We moved last year into our new house and it has no carpets and he stopped cleaning up after playing. When I asked him why he told me that I don't vacuum in there anymore and mops don't suck things up!!
