"I am breastfeeding and I feel like my baby wants to feed every hour! I just put him down, and he wants to feed again! He is 2 months now and I dont think he needs to eat as often. How can I make him eat more at once so that he doesnt want to feed so often?"

He's nearing a big growth spurt so it's vital to your supply that he nurse often. Remember, breastfeeding works on a supply and demand policy and for his upcoming increased demand he needs to make sure there is going to be a supply so his frequent nursing is actually upping your milk supply. Try and hang in there and it will pass and he'll settle back into an easier to deal with routine. Also, a great site to check out is kellymom.com!
First thing that came to my mind too was growth spurt!
I took blessed thistle and funegreek to increase milk production - you can only get them at aura foods downtown.
yeah I would definitely just keep up with his feedings ..Summer ate every half hour for the first three months , I found a pump helped me out alot. She ended up finally getting into a schedule after about the third month and feedings were usually around the same time so as said it's probably a growth spurt and will pass soon enough ..
But i dont want to keep feeding so often, i am exhausted, and on the verge of giving it up all together. i can barely muster the energy to do the houseowrk, and it needs to be done. how can i get him to eat more at one sitting, so hes not feeding so frequently!! ANYBODY?! lol
Sam, you can't force him to eat more. He's cluster feeding to bump up your milk supply which is necessary if you're going to keep breastfeeding. He's not doing it to annoy you or because there is a problem, it's because that's how things are SUPPOSED to go. It's frustrating and time consuming and anyone who has ever breastfed will tell you the same, and tell you it will pass soon. Hang in there. Your housework can wait if breastfeeding is important enough to you...it's not going to go on forever.
No matter how many times you do the house work it will be there the next time you do it, but breastfeeding is one of the most important things for your child. Think basic needs. The laundry wont do it self but who cares, the dishes buy paper, cook when the baby naps, toss the food in the fridge or freezer. SIT down! Oxytocin is a great hormone and it relaxes you.
I read in a book once "don't sweat the small stuff it's all small stuff"
