"I was wondering if anyone out there knows of some good family restaurants that are a good place to take children to...something good for the parents but good for the children too?!

Thank you :) Mysti"

We like sucoma grill because it usually is not busy and we like the food and for some odd reason Micah tends to be more calm there. Kids eat free on sundays.

It's the old Keystone Kelly's, Candace!

We like the Hilltop and Smitty's the best and Boston Pizza has a pretty decent children's menu.

We tried to go to sucoma grill once, and they forgot about serving us. Even through our daughter screaming, they didn't even ask us if we wanted anything to drink, so we left!
Swiss Chalet has a really good kids menu, and they serve you really fast there. Boston pizza has a decent one too, although you've gotta watch out what time you go there, if it's around supper on a Friday night you can wait for over 2 hours! Not fun with a child!

We went to the Irving Blue Canoe restaurant down by Lincoln a while ago. We were very impressed cause as soon as we sat down they brought over crayons and pictures to color. And plus the food is great!!!

yeah , we actually went to sucoma grill on friday , this was before i realized that it wasn't keystone kelly's anymore , we were quite upset with the service there also , we waited at the door for 15 mins for a table until someone finally noticed us ...and there was only a few tables full ..probably won't be going there again , but i do really like swiss chalet, and pizza delight ...

That's too bad about your service at Sucoma Grill. Yeah I have to admit that I really like Swiss Chalet lol...even my almost 6 year old asked if we could go there the other night lol

Well this thread is a little old b/c Sucoma Grill is out of business but Jungle Jim's is there now and kids eat for a penny a "cm". A little more expensive then penny a lb but still a good deal! the kids menus are little masks that kept my son entertained for a good 10 minutes too!

FYI: the Sucoma Grill is no longer there. It is now Jungle Jim's.

I took my 1 year old to the hilltop and they were great with her and didnt mind the mess she made.
