Morning Sickness

How did everyone here cope with morning sickness? I'm pregnant with my second child, and this is the first time I had morning sickness and it's really bad! I feel like an awful mom because all I can do is lay on the couch all day...please help!

Im so sorry your sick! I wasnt sick with my son so I am of no help but I am sure that maybe telecare could help you with this... they should be able to tell you what to eat or take that will help!

go to your doctor, they can give you a prescription for diclectin. it's a miracle drug that is specifically for pregnant women. it worked wonders on me!

If your diclectin isn't working, papaya or ginger helps as does eating small, frequent meals because having an empty stomach makes nausea worse. Hang in there though...most morning sickness passes by the end of the first trimester!

Thank God for Diclectin! I had morning sickness until I was 6 months pregnant.

Yeah, I was so grateful to have diclectin. I too was sick until my third trimester, couldn't keep a thing down. The only thing I found that helped it was diclectin! But I never tried ginger or papaya, I will definitely be keeping that in mind to try the next time I am expecting and sick as a dog! Hope you are feeling better Mandy!

Yeah Ginger is a good idea! On Mythbusters they were trying to see what would help with motion sickness, and the only natural thing that helped a bit was ginger!! Now that may be a bit far fetched but its worth a try until you can see your doctor!

I to am going through morning sickness with my second pregnancy and it seems to last all day and night, worst even at night so I don't get much sleep. I'm asking for Diclectin my next dr visit as I need something to get through the day, and I have been trying ginger it does help some.

I had diclectin for both pregnancies. It helped but it still didn't make me 100% but it helped me function through the day. It makes you incredibly sleepy though so watch for that as you already have a little one at home.
I tried ginger, small frequent meals EVERYTHING but nothing really makes it go away. Just makes it a bit easier.
It is expensive so if you don't have coverage ask your doctor about taking half a unisom and a vitamin B6.
