10 months old Howard David Ludwig can't yet walk, talk or fire a gun, but he does have his very own Illinois gun permit.
The baby, known as Bubba Ludwig, was issued a firearm owner's identification card after his father, Howard Ludwig, paid the US$5 fee and filled out the application, after his father bought the little man his own 12-gauge Beretta shotgun as a gift.
The card lists the baby's height (2 feet, 3 inches), weight (20 pounds) and has a scribble where a signature would be.
These cards are required for any Illinois resident purchasing or possessing firearms or ammunition within the state. There are no age restrictions on the cards, an official said. Their purpose, is to keep guns out of the hands of convicted felons, those under an order of protection and those convicted of domestic violence.
The weapon will likely be kept at the Grand-Father's house until the boy is at least 14.

WOW, that's all I can say. People are just nuts. Who the hell gives their grandchild a gun??? What is the world coming to?
I thought this was weird too.
this is just too disturbing!!
I may overthink the issue of violence, but I don't think guns and their associated behaviour should be encouraged in children. Especially with all the guns-related school threat stuff that's going on now. What does every else think about this?
