I have been experiencing mild pain similar to menstrual cramps in my lower abdomen and back. I did some reading and learned that this can be muscles and ligaments stretching or preterm labor. I don’t remember having this happen in my first pregnancy. I haven’t been very active throughout and over the last few weeks I have been walking my daughter to preschool and a few places close to home on a daily basis. I thought it might have been just from the change though I’m starting to get a little worried. I am calling my doctor to make an appointment tomorrow so I’ll have it check out soon.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?"

I did with my second pregnancy. Whenever I would walk I would have pain. The doctor explained to me that the uterus is a muscle and that as I moved it was contracting. This went on for about the last 7 weeks.
let us know what your doc tells you :)
yes ! ..i (27 weeks)have been having some pain in the pelvic bones ..i thought i was just crazy ...cause it was never this bad the first time around, i talked to the doctor about it and he said the same thing ..it is probably just the uterus and ligaments stretching to make room for the baby to get bigger ..but boy is it ever painful this time around ..walking, putting socks on , and shifting in bed ..are killer for me ...maybe it's a second baby thing ...who knows...

Yup! I was the same way with my second child, my pelvis bone and " area" were constantly sore. Every time I would walk or basically move it would ache and hurt, my dr at the time said that it was just from my muscles and ligaments stretching and sometimes during your 2nd pregnancy they get a little too loose and things shift a bit too far, so it's your body's way of pulling things back into alignment...that's what my dr told me so I just smiled and nodded lol haha!
Well now I no im not the only one and its normal to have the pain. I am also on my second pregnancy. Info like this from real people is why I like this site so much. Thanks
Thanks a bunch for all the responses! I feel better knowing that this is normal. My doc did tell me it was nothing to worry about but just having others that understand is great. I think its starting to settle down now because over the last few days it hasn't been as frequent. Well I only have 7 1/2 more weeks till its show time and I am staying positive that I can go natrualy.
