Medicine Dispenser

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem I am. I stumbled across this medicine dispenser at Walmart that is made by Munchkin. It is excellent for administering gripe water. The problem is that they keep breaking. Now that I've used it rather than a dropper, I can't live without it, but I've already gone through about 6 or 7 in 5 months. Nuby also makes a similar product but I've only been able to find them in a gift set which costs about $20.00 (and has a bunch of stuff I don't need).

Anyway, to get to the point, I am just wondering if anyone has heard of these types of products and might know where to get one that wont break in a few weeks.

Just one more thing, I still would recommend that you get this product if you have a baby that needs frequent doses of medication or gripe water and gets inpatient with the dropper like my Abby did. The $3 or $4 every few weeks is totally worth it. I'm just hoping for a cheaper alternative!

I have had the same problem, we went though two of them and finally decided to just use the dropper from the bottle...they do work but also do break really easy.

I go to ShopperDrugMart and they give it for free. It also last for a while.

You're supposed to use the dispensers that come with the medications.

I dont really think it matters as long as you use the right amounts and they say on the side of the bottle.

Actually it does...the medication doses are measured according to their dispensers and they are not all measured off in the right increments for all the different doses of the different meds. If you read the bottles, they specifically say to use the dispenser included with the medication.

if your child won't take the med using the dispenser provided, just measure out the dose using the dispenser, and transfer it into a dispencer your child will take. And if I were you, I'd just shell out the $20 for a good one. It'll work out to be more if you keep buying multiple cheap ones. Good luck!

Sometime, the medication don't have the dispenser, like the grip water. In that case, I get the dispenser for free at Shopper Drugmart.

As the author of the original post, I would just like to reiterate that this is used for gripe water and, as mentioned above, it doesn't come with it's own dispenser. Furthermore, what is this $20.00 "good one" you are referring to? Are you talking about a medicine bottle/soother or medicine dropper?
