Lincoln Daycare Centre

Anyone ever have a child attend? or know someone who did? I am hoping to get some information about the Daycare. Anything will help.
Thanks!

My son attends there, and it is excellent. The lady who runs it is fabulous, she runs a tight ship. All of the staff are so great, you can tell they really care about the kids. I am completly satisfied with it, and my son loves it.

I was on the waiting list for a long time to get into this daycare and I considered no others. My child has attended there now for quite sometime and I have had no issues. What attracted me to this daycare over any others is that it is child centered and family focused. When I drop my daughter off at the daycare, I feel as though I am welcome, I am able to stay a few minutes and spend time with my daughter before I head off to work.

The staff care about the children and some staff have been there 15 years plus.
The staff have also been very supportive of me as I had to go through dropping off my daughter for the first time at a daycare and I found it extremely difficult. The staff helped my daughter and I through that transition period.

The children go outside and play, go for walks, they do activities (sing, dance), read, crafts etc., ( I can only speak for the little ones not the older children)

I would highly recommend this daycare, however each person has to go with what they feel is best for their child. I went with my gut instinct and what I had heard others say about it. I think you have to be careful about childcare.

When I was considering daycares I went to the daycare and was shown a tour of the daycare facility, the Director of this daycare was very open to showing me everything and answering any questions. And then a few times when my daughter was on the waitlist, I stopped and did a few spot checks.

Hope this helps with your decision making. I love this daycare, however people differ in what they want from a daycare and what they are comfortable with. This daycare meets all my expectations.

If you are referring to the daycare that was recently burnt down. As long as you have a child that is "typical" and doesn't suffer from any disabilities, then you should be just fine!

That day care used to beside Autism Intervention Services in Lincoln. Before they moved across the street.

The owner of that day care is far from "nice". She certainly does run a tight ship .. so tight that she wouldn't let the Autistic children play in her huge, and beautiful play area (of course, each child was supervised by a trained Autism worker). In the beginning she allowed only one child with Autism in the play area at a time .. that slowly diminished to zero.
So here you have a huge play area .. with all this children running, playing and having fun. And, for example, you have my son, that unless you were a trained professional, you wouldn't know he has "Autism", who is sitting there, wondering WHY he isn't allowed to play with the other children .. nice ... pretty sure this is the 21st century. And to single out children with Disabilities like that, is absolutely horrible, and disgusting. She did have a Autistic child in her daycare, and she was very hard to deal with, when it came to working along side this child's clinical supervisor

Then again .. you reap what you sow right?

Lincoln Day Care is the one located on 5 MapleLeaf Drive, not on the Lincoln Rd. Just to clarify. I had my child in Lincoln Day Care and it is excellent! Also had my child in Creative Childcare on Lincoln Rd. It was good, but I liked the Lincoln Day Care better.
