More than one baby shower

I have heard it is wrong to have more than one baby shower and that after the first baby you are not supposed to have any more. Is this true?

I had 3 showers. nothing wrong with that. I had family in Nova scotia, friends in Fredericton and coworkers.... and they all couldn't meet up... as for a second child and babyshowers.... if has been awhile since your first or a different Gender I don't see anything wrong with it...

Showers are a celebration of the birth or upcoming birth of a baby! Whether it's only been 1 year since your last or if it's your 5th girl every baby and expecting mom (or family) deserve to celebrate such a joyous event with friends or family even if it's just a pot luck or "get together"!

See it has been a few years since my last child and I didnt hang on to much besides some cute clothes. But I heard you can't have baby showers for 2nd 3rd etc children. I might have one anyways. Its a new baby right and I am going to need things and I really need the help. Jaime

I had three showers for my first child since I have family in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and also co-workers. For my second I wasn't expecting a shower but my family in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick held one again and I had a diaper party held by my co-workers. I wouldn't expect a shower for my second child but if someone wanted to hold one I see nothing wrong with it.

I had 3 showers for my first. I had family in Newfoundland, family in NS, and freinds in NB. I wasn't expecting the one in NB, it was a complete suprise. I have kept everything as my dd just turned 1 year old. We didnt have a lot of $, so the showers were a blessing!
