We found some really great barrettes at Zellers. They have a little silicone bar on the inside so it grabs the hair better (awesome for fine hair babes like mine.) They come in Bugs and Princess motifs and I think a pack of 6 is 6.99. I highly recommend them.

if she has enough hair to pur barrettes in then i doubt it would be a problem as long they are the type to stay in well enough
The only thing I am worried about is that she will pull them out and choke on them. What kind do you suggest that wont come out?

it just depends on her hair really whether its fine, thick, curly, straight...
Try those ones that you have to bend to open and close.
